Another season of improvements for the Cardiff Dragons 5s team down at Gôl. The Dragons won 7 – 3 over Unprotected Cescs to get their first ever competitive 5 a side win at Gôl in the Tuesday league. Not only was this our first win but it was the most scored and least conceded in a single game.
Our 5 a side team allows players in our club that don’t always get game time to play. To date we have had 28 different players play in our 5 a side squad.
This is how the table stood at the end of the September to December season:
Don’t let the table fool you. The team has improved so much over the last few seasons and we are now able to compete with teams that we would never have stood a chance against when we first joined.
Below we have the game results of the season. Jason our manager has kindly been keeping stats on all the games. Bear in mind that 5 a side is a game of many goals. 5 goals can be scored in 5 minutes if you switch off:
