Cardiff Dragons 1 – 1 Bristol Panthers

TWO LATE GOALS AND A SENDING OFF MAKE IT AN EXCITING END TO THIS SOUTH WEST LEAGUE ENCOUNTER IN CARDIFF

CARDIFF DRAGONS 1 BRISTOL PANTHERS 1 30TH JANUARY 2011 AT PONTCANNA FIELDS

The Dragons lined up for the first half as follows:-
MARK, MUZZ (MANAGER), ANTHONY (CAPT), JOHN A, LEANNE, PAUL, RYAN, STEFAN, DARRIN, SIMON E, KRIS

It was important for the Dragons to use this game as a development game to give players match experience and also to give players a run out as we have not played a game since November.

The Dragons were really not at the races for the first 15 minutes and it was the Panthers who made all the early chances and on 6 minutes had the ball in the back of the net for it to be disallowed for offside. The Dragons were also to have a goal disallowed themselves on 16 minutes for offside.

On 28 minutes the Panthers picked up the first booking of the game for a foul on Kris. On 30 minutes Kris had a shot on target as the Dragons were starting to find their feet.

With the space of a few minutes with 10 minutes left of the first half Mark in the Dragons goal was called into action to make two excellent saves as the Panthers were ending the half on top. On 40 minutes Muzz made an excellent clearance. The Panthers were really applying the pressure and the last 5 minutes Mark made 2 more brilliant saves to keep the Dragons in the game.
